Crohn’s & Colitis Australia

Behind the scenes we have been busy organising some fundraising events for this year.

We’re going to kick off fundraising for Crohn’s and Colitis Australia.

1 in 250 Australians live with this disease. Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis is a lifelong autoimmune disease which effects the health and wellness of so many. It can be painful, embarrassing and changes the lives of not only those diagnosed but their families and friends.
It is a constant battle to be well enough to enjoy the things most often taken for granted. There is no cure.

This is one of those things that is just not talked about. It’s important to create awareness of this disease and hopefully, in the very near future, a cure is found.

This disease has affected my family directly and I know there are many others in this group who are living life to the fullest despite their diagnosis and hurdles that come with it.

With every sale of the yellow 300mm navlife stickers, 100% of all sales will be donated to Crohn’s and Colitis Australia. So the $20 you pay per sticker goes directly to this cause.

If you still wish to donate but don’t want a sticker or you just want to donate extra, we will create a link on the website to do this. Any donations over $2 are tax deductible and a receipt can be issued on request.

Navlife Member Support Fundraiser

We are very saddened to hear the news that one of our members tragically lost their wife last week.
It has affected us deeply and we wish to do whatever we can as a community to come together for this family. While nothing we ever do will stop the hurt they are experiencing, we’d like to think that by something small we can help just that little bit.
With this in mind we have got together with a few of our suppliers and members to put together a raffle of donated prizes to raise money for this member and his children. No matter how small a contribution, if you are able to, it would be very much appreciated if you are able to take part.
100% of the money raised will be going to him directly.
It is important at this point that we respect his privacy and allow him to grieve with his loved ones. He, along with family members are in our thoughts and we send them our love and support at this difficult time.

Total Funds Raised    $3765.00

McGrath Foundation

As everyone is aware, this year, #navlife have decided to support two very important charities. We have already released the Crohn’s & Colitis Australia fundraising sticker and link to the page.

We now have approval to release the stickers which will go directly to supporting the McGrath Foundation.

Diagnosed at just 31, Jane McGrath became a passionate believer in the need for breast care nurses and greater breast awareness for all women regardless of ages. McGrath Breast Care Nurses help families in Australia experiencing breast cancer by providing invaluable physical, psychological and emotional support from the time of diagnosis and throughout treatment. This support is provided free of charge and can be accessed through self-referral.

At #navlife, we want to do our bit to make life for families experiencing breast cancer just that little bit easier.

You can now pop over to the website and purchase these stickers. They look amazing and clearly signify who we support.

With every sale of the pink 300mm navlife stickers, 100% of all sales will be donated to the McGrath Foundation. So the $20 you pay per sticker goes directly to this cause.

If you still wish to donate but don’t want a sticker or you just want to donate extra, we will create a link on the website to do this. Any donations over $2 are tax deductible and a receipt can be issued on request.

Stockton Beach Day – 28th January 2017

Navlife would like to thank everyone that tagged along on the Stockton Beach day on Saturday which was organised by Sue & Adam Percival. They had approximately 20 Nav’s turn up on the day and had a great mix of stock standard vehicles and highly modified vehicles. Some of the guys tried the sand dunes with getting up 1st go and other took a few extra attempts, some also had to get towed out. But overall it was a great day family day to meet some of our local #navlife family. Navlife donated a prize as did Maitland City Motel. A fundraiser raffle was held and $220 was raised for Crohns & Colitis Australia. Also a big thanks to Stephen Bree from Tanilba Bay Tyre Service for donating #navlife stickers for the event. #navlife
